The Scott Residences

Larson provided structural engineering services for this new, 6-story mixed-use building with a construction cost of $16.5 million. Measuring 121,000 sq. ft., the building includes parking on the first two levels, retail space on the first floor, and condominiums on the upper five stories. Among the special features are roof terraces, green roofs, and cantilevered balconies on three sides of the 4th and 5th floors. Condos range from studios to three-bedroom residences. Particular challenges included multiple large duct openings through steel beams and long beam spans capable of supporting four upper floors.
