Paper Machine Vacuum System Design

Larson Engineering provided the preliminary engineering and detailed design for the installation of two new vacuum pumps at a paper facility. Larson was responsible for the process, mechanical, structural design on this project; providing the vacuum flow calculations and process design, general arrangements, process & instrument diagrams, piping design, foundations, and steel design. Larson utilized 3D Reality Capture to identify the existing environment and incorporate the new design into the existing facility. Larson’s design and system balance achieved good results and saw improvements to quality and runtime on the Paper machine.
