500 Ton High-Density Chest and Heavy Black Liquor Tank

Larson Engineering provided the preliminary engineering and detailed design for two substantial

tank additions at a paper facility.

Our team oversaw the process, mechanical, and structural design aspects of these projects,

ensuring seamless integration within the existing facility. This included equipment sizing and

specifications, general arrangements, process and instrumentation diagrams, piping layout,

foundation and steel design. Leveraging 3D Reality Capture, we accurately mapped the current

environment, allowing for precise incorporation of the new tanks into the facility’s infrastructure.

Additionally, Larson Engineering provided a preliminary cost estimate with an accuracy of ±10%

and a preliminary material takeoff to support project planning and execution.
